GMAT
Graduate Management Admissions Test
The GMAT is used to assess the qualifications of applicants for advanced study in
business and management and is required by most graduate schools in business and management.
It measures general verbal, mathematical, and analytical writing skills that are developed
over a long period of time and are associated with success in the first year of study.
The GMAT does not presuppose any specific knowledge of business nor does it measure
achievement in any particular subject area. It consists of questions in verbal and
quantitative and two analytical writing topics. The test is computer-adaptive and
is administered at Prometric Centers nationwide.
